November 25 will go down as one of the most anticipated finales in Solodex’s 8 year history. Those competitors from south Trinidad who braved early morning gloom and rain were delighted to find a warm and dry Arima Race Club car park waiting for them. Solodex 4
15th July 2007
With the 2007 Solodex season now firmly past the halfway mark, things are getting interesting. Already we are seeing some of last year’s class champions preparing to relinquish their thrones, and hiding their championship trophies. Another new trend is the ever growing number of spectators and clubs in attendance. The Nissan and Subaru clubs put on impressive displays. By midday, cars were lined up outside the venue, trying to get in. A note to the wise, COME EARLY!

Solodex 3
29th April 2007
When it rains it pours………, Usually if a day starts off like this, I would advise that the best thing to do would be to forget the whole thing. The fact that the radiator of the car that I was supposed to be driving got a hole on the way up to dex, had to be a sign…….a bad one, and boy was it. The fact that the tent people were not at Arima when I arrived at 9am (an hour later than planned due to the mechanical problems of the car), was an indication that things were not going to be good. The fact that the tent people still had not arrived by 10am, 11am or 12pm, was not looking promising. One thing that did arrive as ordered by some drivers was THE RAIN.

Solodex 2
29th April 2007
Temperatures ran high on April 29th, as the country recorded the hottest April in recorded history. Not since the Caribs chased the Arawaks out of Arima has Santa Rosa seen that much heat. There was heat of a different nature at the Santa Rosa Race Club though. The heat of turbocharged Lancer Evolutions, Subaru STIs and burning rubber signaled what was to be the grandest Solodex event on record.

Solodex 1 2K7
14th January 2007
As far as Solodex seasons go, the 2007 season was an early one. With just a few short weeks to Carnival 07, twenty-five competitors took leave of the wine and jam season to do battle under the blazing sun. The 07 season was off to what many felt might be a predictable season. All the 06 class championship winners seemed set to pick up where they left off.
